  1. Around , the group cut a semi-legendary 40 minutes or so of the rambling opus "Rock Is Dead," a tongue-in-cheek obituary that combines Morrison's poetry with offhand musical quotes from rock and blues oldies that simulatenously parody and pay homage to the band's inspirations. Not a vital piece of art by any means, but fascinating insight for Morrison/Doors aficionados, simultaneously.
  2. Pretty good, yes. Good enough to have gotten the Doors inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last January and to have inspired Oliver Stone’s reverential biopic. And, most of all, good enough to enthrall three decades of rock fans with music that remains as powerful and profound in the Nineties as it was in the Sixties.

  7. The most comprehensive 2-CD Doors set ever compiled, the anthology presents dramatic new 40 Anniversary mixes by the remaining Doors and Bruce Botnick, the band's original engineer /5().
  8. Awesome psychedlic bluesy rock band that sometimes don't get the credit or respect they deserve and are more associated with Jim Morrison's supposed antics. They created a really wonderful unique sound that still sounds incredible today. Their 6 albums are excellent, all created within 4 years.
